How do I speed-dry a wet clay piece?

If you are in a hurry to dry wet work, try the microwave. Be sure to set the temperature to 'defrost' and experiment with short cycles. If heated too quickly, work can still crack or even explode! (The dryer the work, the more crucial it gets.)
