ClayFeast is a major international ceramics event that will be taking place at Gulgong, New South Wales, Australia from 29 April to 6 May 2001. This is a 'hands on' festival with invited international guests doing demonstrations and giving lectures, but also with intense delegate participation. The title 'ClayFeast' is indicative of this year's theme, which is 'imaginative tableware'. There will be demonstrations and lectures each day, hands-on decorating of the participants' own work, firing the woodfired 'merry-go-round' kiln, exhibitions, happenings, and a few surprises as well. Each participant is invited to bring six pieces of tableware for a mammoth display in the Memorial Hall. It is anticipated there will be thousands of pots on the theme of feasting on show. I attended Hyper-clay three years ago, it was the best experience of my life, to be surrounded by so many like minded individuals, and to be able to share so freely was a wonderful experience. Highly recommended!!!
