ClayFeast is a major international ceramics event that will be taking place at Gulgong, New South Wales, Australia from 29 April to 6 May 2001. This is a ´hands on´ festival with invited international guests doing demonstrations and giving lectures, but also with intense delegate participation. The title ´ClayFeast´ is indicative of this year´s theme, which is ´imaginative tableware´. There will be demonstrations and lectures each day, hands-on decorating of the participants´ own work, firing the woodfired ´merry-go-round´ kiln, exhibitions, happenings, and a few surprises as well. Each participant is invited to bring six pieces of tableware for a mammoth display in the Memorial Hall. It is anticipated there will be thousands of pots on the theme of feasting on show. I attended Hyper-clay three years ago, it was the best experience of my life, to be surrounded by so many like minded individuals, and to be able to share so freely was a wonderful experience. Highly recommended!!!
